Session Title:  Going to the Cloud: The Next Step in Talking About eReaders!

Session Description: 

E-readers are everywhere now. Students have them, and staff are not afraid of them! But…how do we leverage the power of these tools to provide access to curriculum materials. This session will focus on strategies and tools to enable us to create and deliver materials to students – regardless of the device they are using.  Bring your own technology to the session to help you with your learning experience. Through the use of a course specific on-line collaboration tool, wiki, the instructor will guide the participants through strategies to create and manage customized electronic materials. These differentiated accessible materials can then be employed on student’s personal mobile learning devices to support learning in and out of the classroom. Tools will include software downloads for computers, apps for mobile devices and web based tools that will create / modify curriculum materials. Participants will explore these tools during the session – both individually and in group settings. Participants are encouraged to bring examples of materials they would use in the classroom and will use the tools / strategies discussed to create modified versions of these materials. Via the session wiki page – participants will develop and contribute to an on-line learning community to continue the learning beyond the session
